Safety is our top priority. All players, spectators, and staff must follow these rules at all times. Violations may result in immediate ejection without refund.
- Protective eyewear (full-seal, ASTM/ANSI rated) must be worn at all times while on the field. Do not remove your mask for any reason during play.
- Barrel covers or plugs must be on all markers when outside the designated play area. Markers are only uncapped on the field or in the safety chronograph zone.
- All markers must pass a chronograph test before play. Maximum velocity is 400 FPS for airsoft (with a 20-foot minimum engagement distance) and 300 FPS for paintball. No exceptions.
- No physical contact with other players. No tackling, pushing, or grabbing. Keep both hands on your marker at all times.
- Do not shoot at anyone who is not wearing proper protective gear. Never shoot at an eliminated player, referee, or spectator.
- No blind firing. You must maintain a clear line of sight to your target. Shooting over or around cover without looking is prohibited.
- Alcohol and illegal substances are strictly forbidden on the premises. Anyone appearing under the influence will be refused entry.
- Report any injuries immediately to a staff member or referee. First aid kits are available at the front desk of both locations.
Equipment Rules
All equipment must be in safe working order. Staff reserves the right to inspect any marker or gear at any time.
- Airsoft markers must fire 6mm plastic BBs only. No metal, glass, or homemade projectiles. Biodegradable BBs are recommended and required for outdoor play.
- Paintball markers must fire .68 caliber paintballs. Only field-approved paint may be used on the premises. Bring your own paint is not permitted at our Webster location.
- Full-auto and burst-fire modes are restricted to designated fields and game types. Check with the referee before switching to automatic fire.
- Pyrotechnics, smoke grenades, and simulated explosives are prohibited unless explicitly authorized by management for a specific event.
- Knives, melee weapons, and blunt-object replicas are not permitted on the field unless provided by AAS as part of a scenario game.
- Laser sights and bright flashlights are not allowed. They can interfere with other players' vision and safety equipment.
- Rental markers are available at both locations. Rental gear must be returned in the same condition it was received. Damage fees apply for lost or broken equipment.
Gameplay Rules
Standard gameplay rules apply to all walk-on and open-play sessions. Scenario and special-event games may have additional rules announced by the referee.
- When hit, call yourself out immediately by shouting "HIT" loudly and raising your marker above your head. Walk directly to the respawn or staging area.
- A hit is any solid strike to any part of your body, clothing, or equipment. Ricochets and glancing shots do not count. When in doubt, call yourself out.
- No overshooting. Once a player calls "HIT," stop firing immediately. Continuing to shoot an eliminated player is grounds for ejection.
- Respawning rules vary by game type. Listen to the referee for respawn location, timing, and any limits on number of respawns.
- No shooting from inside a respawn zone, safe zone, or staging area. Markers must remain holstered or benched in these areas.
- Dead men do not talk. Eliminated players may not communicate with active players. No coaching, signaling, or providing intel from the sideline.
- Surrender rule: If you come within 20 feet of an unsuspecting opponent, offer them the option to surrender by saying "SURRENDER" or "TAG OUT." They must comply or you may fire a controlled shot below the neck.
- Medic rules are used in some game modes. A designated medic may "heal" eliminated players with a tag. Medics are marked with armbands and cannot heal themselves.
Code of Conduct
Advanced Action Sports is committed to providing a safe, fun environment for players of all ages. Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.
- Respect all players, referees, and staff. Verbal abuse, harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind is grounds for immediate ejection.
- No profanity, especially in the presence of minors. Keep language family-friendly at all times.
- Winning is not everything. Good sportsmanship includes congratulating opponents, accepting referee decisions graciously, and playing with integrity.
- Cheating — including wiping hits, not calling out, or modifying markers beyond legal limits — will result in a warning for a first offense and ejection for a second.
- Follow all referee instructions promptly. Referees have final authority on all game-related decisions. Disputes may be discussed after the game at the staging area.
- Keep the fields clean. Trash and spent paint shells must be disposed of in designated receptacles. Leave the field better than you found it.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for the conduct of minors in their party. Please review these rules with your children before play.
- Advanced Action Sports reserves the right to refuse service or revoke membership for any conduct that jeopardizes safety or the enjoyment of others.
Rules are subject to change. The full official rulebook PDF takes precedence over this summary. If you have questions about any rule, ask a staff member or referee before play begins.
